I had wanted more from this book, as a dedicated Caligari obsessive, but it just didn't deliver. It's almost a shot-for-shot remake, in comic form, of the beloved silent movie. There was so much potential to reinvent, to explore, at least to deepen, but it just wasn't here. Still, the black-on-white illustrations were a nice nod to the painted sets of the original film.
