A take on the classic Hero’s journey, In the vein of gritty noir detective novels, set in a world where every fairy tale and folk lore every told held some truth, a world were Dracula walked the same earth as figures like King Arthur, Merlin, and Robin Hood.
A world where Shape Shifters and Werewolves stalk the forests as well as the concrete jungles unseen by human eyes. A world where Magic Users such as Wizards, Witches, Mage’s and Magician’s are a common element and part of the very fabric of our lives, two brothers from a shattered home attempt to live a normal life in a modern city. At a young age discovering his psychic ability, John takes it upon his self, with the protection of his brother Brain, to try and save innocent people from the reach of the dangerous and all too often cruel Paranormal world.
Along the way John and Brain befriend a number of larger then life characters including and an elderly blind psychic, a brooding Voodoo Priest, an ex-Yukuza enforcer trained in Bushido and a broken hearted Werewolf.
The brothers encounter a number of enemy’s including an eccentric Necromancer and his Ghoul apprentice, a dire plagued werewolf and a Japanese revenge demon with a thirst for death.
Surreal and Macabre but not without a sense of humor and take on the male psyche, modern life, philosophy and faith. set in the fabricated City of Glass Lake, John and Brain’s lives have been anything but normal, but when John stumbles upon the Ghost of a murdered child, in the bathroom at his day job, the two brothers are thrust into the world of the arcane and in the end, neither will be the same.
