This fourteen-volume series of the collected writings and journals of John Wesley has been developed through the Wesley Heritage Foundation predominantly under the guidance of the leadership of Hispanic churches in Latin America and the United States. An international design team first met in Durham, North Carolina, in October 1990, and designed the project in two parts. Part I calls for the translation and publication of the most representative writings of John Wesley. Part II focuses on the promotion of Wesley studies among Hispanics in the Western Hemisphere. Professor Justo L. Gonzalez, Ph.D., serves as General Editor for Obras de Wesley. An international Editorial Board and an Advisory Council of Latino and Anglo consultants add scholarship and expertise that promise a Spanish edition of Wesley works to serve the twenty-first century.
