I'm going to start with the obvious. Yes. I am that geek. I have watched warehouse 13 from the beginning and truly enjoy it.Some tv or movies that end up being turned into graphic novels end up repetitive. I was really happy to see in this book they avoided the lengthy retelling of how our protagonists got to where they are today. We get a whole new story with the same quirky characters. I really enjoyed the illustrated background on the artifacts. Gave a nice touch to an already promising book.O...
So stupid. Let's take away the fact that the artist didn't know how to draw the characters, let alone a human! Some of the drawings where quite scary, Pete had his head not over his neck... that's not anatomically possible! It was like something out of Alien. Then the story was flat, had no humor, and didn't feel like the show. Plus felt oddly spacially dislocated in time, with e-vite jokes and Hunger Games references. This comic does a disservice to the show. If someone where to pick this up th...
Ben Raab's, Deric Hughes's, Mike Johnson's, and Ben Moore's Warehouse 13 is a visually pleasing graphic novel where the 2D characters look like their 3D counterparts on the television show, Warehouse 13. Each chapter of this graphic novel is set up like an episode of the show and the whole of the book is the entire story arc of a season. I am impressed that this could be accomplished in a single volume. I wish there was a preview for a sequel.
Great addition to the Warehouse 13 story. If you're a fan, you'll love this book. I could actually hear their voices in my head as I read the story. The feel is the same as the tv show. The best part is they travel around the world which made me think they need to do more of that in the show. How fun this was.The art was a little dark for my taste but I still enjoyed it. The artist did a good job of capturing the likeness of each character. Looking forward to more editions.
i think my issue wih most coimcs basd on tv shows is the pacing. things seem to get resolved to quickly in the comics. but maybe that's just me.
Well within character and in keeping if the spirit and the mythology of the show.
Great story, very much like an arc of episodes. Artwork on issues 1-3 was great, but 4 & 5 kinda sucked.
As a Warehouse 13 fan I liked this collection. The writing captured the relationships between the characters pretty well and the art style was okay. However, the story felt really rushed at the end and it lacked substance. It's a nice read for a fan of the show but I don't think anyone else picking it up would be too impressed.
First of all, I'm a big Warehouse 13 fan. Just finished binge-watching the whole series and it was a very enjoyable program. This review has absolutely NOTHING to do with the quality of the show. This comic adaptation of the series was okay; just okay. It hit all the points of the TV series - lots of artifacts, a behind-the-scenes mastermind, the sense of family, a bit of history on the warehouse, a bronzing - but didn't really add anything of note to the mythos. Another problem was that there w...
I really liked this comic book. I have just started watching Warehouse 13 so I am still working my way around learning about the characters in the show. I think reading this comic book helped. Each story has enough sci fi and adventure in it to keep you interested, and the stories are short so you can read them quickly. The graphics are amazing, I really am impressed. and on my Kindle fire when I zoomed in the text was corrected so that I could actually read it. When the text is messed up is usu...
This collects issues 1 to 5 of the comic book.It is a nice introduction to the Warehouse 13 world. Pete, Myka, Claudia and Artie are all featured.Leena does not make an appearance though. The five seperate stories represent a larger story arc.The comics do a decent job of capturing the fun and excitement of the show. The artwork is decent, slightly better than most adaptations.Fans of the show should enjoy this story. It makes a nice addition to your Warehouse 13 collection.
The only thing I'm disappointed about is that this was a 5-issue mini series. They did a fantastic job of capturing the characters' personalities and everything that made the show good.
Wonderful! The characters are well-written (Pete's jokes, Claudia's quips, Myka's exasperation with Pete) and there are references to the show (Claudia's Tesla grenade, the Mary Celeste, Godfrid's spoon). And there's bff moments between Pete and Myka, as well as general positive family feels, just like on the show. I loved it.
Warehouse 13 is a fantastic show on the SyFy channel about 2 Secret Service agents that are reassigned to a dusty middle of no where warehouse in South Dakota. Turns out it isn't any regular government warehouse - it is more like the warehouse at the end of Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Last Ark! Now agents Myka and Pete are jet setting around the world looking for artifacts that has unbelievable power and can do the most amazing things regardless of physics. These 5 issues have them
I love the show Warehouse 13 (except not a huge fan of how it ended) and after finishing a rewatch I searched around to see if it had a comic. I feel like all great tv shows go right to comic book form when they are over (Buffy, Firefly). I can definitely say that I’m happy I read this. I liked visiting the world of Warehouse 13 again even if it was just for a little while. I feel like they did keep the characters in character if that makes sense. Some of the comedy was lacking, but I believe it...
This is a collection of the five issues of the Warehouse 13 comic book. The first story is about a ground-smashing artifact and a corrupt police woman. The second is about a person-fog-making artifact and it turns out that the artifacts being used have been missing for 150 years or so.The third story concerns a sword blade that can cut a person in half and Claudia is a major figure in the story (yes, she's my favorite character from the series.) The last two stories involve hunters trying to kil...
In the straight line from the tv show. Problem is 20 pages or 40 minutes is quite not the same. Instead of putting 1 episode in 5 issues, they put up 4 episodes in 5 issues. So everything is rushed. The art is really not great, especially for the last two issues. I understand easily why there is only one volume
I loved it. It was true to the tv show. I just wish it would have gone a little more in-depth for the episodes vs. putting 5 in a book. I had several LOL moments/scenes. Excellent characters -- I haven't seen this show in at least 3 years.
The story was okay. Some of Lattimer's goof and plenty of Bering's brain, and mini (possibly way off the mark) history lessons are always fun. Better than the average graphic novel story based on television characters, anyway. However, I was really disappointed with the art. Artie always looked like Saul Rubinek, but Myka and Pete and Claudia rarely if ever looked like Joanne Kelly and Eddie McClintock and Allison Scagliotti. Deeply disappointing, that part.A good read if you're a huge fan of Wa...
The strange and fantastical adventures of SyFy’s hit series continue in the graphic novel Warehouse 13: Volume 1. A five issue comic series, Warehouse agents Pete Lattimer and Myka Bering chase down several artifacts that were reputedly part of the Lost Cache that disappeared over a hundred years ago and begin to suspect that a shadowy figure is behind their resurfacing and is working towards a nefarious end. The writers do a good job at coming up with interesting artifacts and powers, and captu...
