Loved the short stories, and liked the info on the authors. I even liked the stories that had no place in a book like this. Yes there are some that are not horror, but are good writing...
I am a huge fan of anthologies, so when I saw this one full of well established writers and those new to the scene, I was anxious to get a copy. I was not disappointed. Jeani Rector has packed the book with so much talent, it is a steal for the cost. It is full of fiction, poetry, art and articles that should leave everyone satisfied.Some of the best stories would have to be "The Soldier" by Shaun Meeks, "Scream Queen" by Ed Gorman, "The Night Visitor" by Joe McKinney, "Clawed Sod" by Christian

I was so pleasantly surprised by the exceptional quality of the stories included in this collection. The scary, scary ideas were rich in quality and uniqueness. This book also includes lots of commentary, interviews with famous authors, articles, poems and artwork. There is really something for everyone, as long as you like horror! Some of the work is reprints, but most is original. Joe McKinney is fast becoming a favorite author of mine. All his writings are chilling and smart. Joe R. Lansdale
