Pierre Joris's work is known to many and in many guises, but nevertheless seems to slip through the mazes of American, British, French, North African, Luxemburgish and German secondary literature. Long overdue, this volume brings together renowned poets, critics, philosophers, translators and scholars, all with different backgrounds and languages, contributing a range of texts on as many aspects of Joris's work as possible . The main sections of the book are devoted to spaces , "po, po & po" , nomadics, translations, and American "lineages and crossovers." Additionally, short so-called "geographemes" cut across the book, in which Joris revisits and ruminates on earlier campsites, journeys and writings. Supplementing this volume, an online archival platform with additional poems, audio and video materials, unpublished essays, translations and book illustrations will be launched as well.
