Man Writing a Romance

Man Writing a Romance

Dave Thome
3/5 ( ratings)
When Dave Thome set out to write his romance novel Fast Lane, he quickly found out he had a lot to learn. About romance novels. About women. About how he shouldn’t use the word “panties." Especially that last one. No kidding.

Fortunately, Dave had no shortage of women in his life who were willing and eager to tell him what he was doing wrong. He needed to bone up on women’s clothing sizes. Get the idea that while women like the way unshaven men look, they don’t necessarily like the way unshaven men feel. Realize that there’s no reason to unzip a dress if you can just whip it off over your head zipped.

Stuff like that.

He also tackled more serious topics, like women’s body issues, intergender communication and societal attitudes about gender roles and sex—but even those are addressed with empathy and humor.

Man Writing a Romance, like the blog that inspired it, is an honest, informative and funny chronicle of one man's journey into the female mind.
