Are you looking to own a cat ? Then this is the book you need to read before doing so.It contains everything you will ever need to know from deciding to get a kitten following through to adult life and the problems you could encounter, setting it apart from any other instruction book as the author has incorporated her own experiences, throughout the entire book, telling stories about the cats she has owned and giving examples as she goes along. This makes for a much more personal touch and for m...
"Cats: Instructions For Use Or How To Survive Being Owned By A Cat" by Annarita Guarnieri is the first nonfiction book I have chosen to review. I was hesitant at first because my only relationship with cats has been through swollen eyes and sneezing. I have to admit that even though I don’t own a cat and never expect to own one, I was pleasantly entertained by the author’s illuminating descriptions of a life with cats. Not only was it educational for feline owners, whether newbies or veterans, i...
Fantastically anecdotal book about living with 'furry babies'. I loved the fact that Annarita included stories from her own life with cats and she gives good sound advice.
As someone who is obsessed with cats and fluffy animals in general, I picked up this book excitedly. As a child, our house was literally filled with animals and as an adult I've had four of my own cats. Once, years ago, two of them got pregnant at the same time at only five months old. Although I think I'm a sort of expert now on cats, I learn't quite a few things that I didn't k...
I would not normally have downloaded this book, but it was free for download on a temporary basis off of Amazon.com. Upon reading the outline of the book, I went in thinking this was going to be a humourous and informational piece of non-fiction writing. I was wrong about the humourous part. This book is a book specifically for those people that don't know what a cat is. Honestly, the book tells you exactly what to do with a kitten/cat/multiple cats, etc. The author is very familiar with raising...
A useful guide to new cat/kitten ownersI got this book expecting, from the title, a comedic look at owning (or being owned by) a cat/kitten.Whilst there was some humour within, it was sparse and weak.I would recommend this book only to those who have never lived with a feline or a cat lover looking to read about someone else's cat tales..... Or should that be tails????
