IN THE SHADOW OF THE MYSTERIOUS SOLSBURY HILL, A SADISTIC MEDIEVAL WITCHFINDER AND HIS MODERN-DAY DISCIPLE HAUNTS THE LOCALS
After the gruesome suicide of a village simpleton is witnessed by terrified children, it soon becomes apparent that the simpleton has joined forces with hated witchfinder Thomas Crabbings from beyond the grave.
Forty years on, one of the children traumatised by the suicide leads a life of denial and fear; his misery compounded by an unforgiving wife who was once the simpleton’s lover. A chain of bizarre and terrifying events that appear to be influenced by the witchfinder and the simpleton is set in motion, and the good folk of Larkhall village need to come up with a plan of action to defeat the supernatural menace.
Joining forces in an attempt to lance the two-headed carbuncle of malevolence is the village florist, an aristocratic drug-dealer, two sex-starved elderly women, a music teacher, the church rector, a reformed alcoholic, bewildered God-fearing American tourists, a group of inept Satanists, and Clive the Doberman.
