In a reckless act of revenge, an innocent cat is driven to a heavily wooded area and left to die. The fate of the cat will impact everyone associated with past, present, and future. And a town desperately trying to maintain its identity will never be the same again.

The story explores abuse as it relates to both animals and humans and the reasons behind it. The reader will be emotionally challenged by the characters, their personalities, and their interactions. In the end, readers are left to wrestle with the most difficult act any human can forgiveness.

To date, the novel has won several awards, First-place Firebird Book Award for Literary Fiction Literary Titan Silver Award Most recently a Somerset Contemporary & Literary Award, a genre division of the Chanticleer International Book Awards The novel was also nominated for a Reader's Choice Book Award in November 2022.
