NAOMI JUDD: THE COMPLETE LIFE STORY

Lara L. Peterson
0/5 ( ratings)
Naomi Judd, as a member of the mother-daughter combo the Judds, ruled the country music charts in the 1980s with a combination of tight vocal harmonies, classic arrangements, and new pop aesthetics.

In the early 1980s, the arrival of the legendary pair The Judds irrevocably altered country music. Through their music, mother-daughter duet Naomi and Wynonna Judd created history and captivated the world.

The Judds were a key influence in the country music New Traditionalist movement, a response against the flash and glitter of the Urban Cowboy sound in preference of roots-based instrumentation and voices.

The Judds were country music royalty for years, selling out arenas and dominating the charts.
Despite having a potentially fatal illness, Naomi Judd said that after recovering from hepatitis and sometimes touring with her daughter, she would escape to her rural house and fall into a severe sadness.

After her initial retirement in 1991, Naomi Judd appeared in several television and cinema roles. As a famous musician, Naomi Judd had an extraordinary and prosperous career in the music business of which we enjoyed not just her music, but also her voice and singing talent.
