I have a much better relationship with Eden now that she doesn’t remember who I am.

She called me a little over a year ago, asking me to come down to Palm Springs. She said she needed me again. That was the last time I was really sure she knew me. There’ve been moments since then. A certain look, or something left unsaid. But those moments are fleeting and far between. Nothing like that call.

“Melanie,” she said when I picked up the phone that night. “Baby, I got a little problem.”

An aging transgendered woman is willing to do anything for love in ALL ABOUT EDEN, a 3000 word hardboiled short story.
