Poet Alan Burton attended Danbury high school in Connecticut, but originally from Yonkers, New York. He enjoys writing because he feels that "thoughts and emotions can't be contained in just one body." His main goal in life is to become a lawyer and hopefully one day a judge. Along with writing, he enjoys to read and play the piano. "Mississippi Murder" is his first collection of poetry.
