Control Applications in Marine Systems 2001 (IFAC Proceedings Volumes)

Control Applications in Marine Systems 2001 (IFAC Proceedings Volumes)

A.L. Barker
0/5 ( ratings)
This Proceedings contains the papers presented at the IFAC Conference on Control Applications in Marine Systems , held on 18-20 of July 2001 at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland. More than 120 delegates from over 20 countries attended the Conference and discussed and exchanged their research results in marine control systems design and applications. CAMS 2001 attracted the highest number of papers and delegates of any conference in this series. This increase reflects the growing importance of control design and applications in marine systems.

The papers in the Proceedings cover a wide range of areas including autopilot systems, dynamic positioning systems, tracking systems, roll stabilization, robotic off-shore systems, ship navigation systems, ship propulsion, traffic guidance and control systems, engine and machinery control systems, safety and fault tolerant control, and training and vehicle simulation. There are also papers on underwater vehicle control and high speed ship control which provide an excellent review of the current work in these areas.

This Proceedings will be indispensable for any scientist or engineer working in the area of marine systems.
