Colonizing Atlantis, the New Earth

Colonizing Atlantis, the New Earth

Carolyn Devonshire
0/5 ( ratings)
When the planet Atlan’s sun dies, a family sets out by aircraft for “New Earth,” a planet with a similar climate and pristine environment. “Atlantis” is colonized and the refugees intermingle with primitive man to form a new race. Although the colonization effort succeeds for many generations, development of a crystal power source leads to the same environmental problems that were responsible for the devastation of Atlan, and war is waged between the spiritual and technologically advanced factions of the continent. Intrigue and revelation are added to the story by two modern-day Americans who survive an airline crash near the Azores only to discover remnants of the lost civilization of Atlantis as they await rescue on a remote island, which is all that remains of the once-great continent. Science fiction and adventure mix to provide a compelling account of what befalls those who disregard the environment to promote scientific achievement.
