An interesting collection of imaginative vampires. 2.5 starsPRE-APOCALYPSE ***The List by Kelley Armstrong * * *Zoe & a friend attend a professor's lecture on vampirism. Better than the last Zoe story I read from Armstrong (which was Zen and the Art of Vampirism). However, since Zoe is a current character that Armstrong writes about, I fail to see how she can be considered a future vampire...Nosangreal by Ivan Dorin * * *A vampire & his opposite in a park. Somewhat allegorical.A Puddle of Blood
Quick short to keep the stories moving along, as always enjoyed
The List by Kelley Armstrong -A seriously-short short story that I swear I read somewhere before... only I can't place it.
I really enjoyed the stories in this anthology. So many different styles and takes on the vampire legend. Some excellent cringe moments, which is what I'm looking for in a vampire story. I'll be interested to see if a third volume is published.
From Led Astray: The Best of Kelley Armstrong. An Otherworld Universe Story: Humorous snippet with vampires.
Zoe the vampire and Brittany the vampire slayer go to college classes and rescue their lecturer
When I heard that there was going to be an Evolve 2 I was a happy camper. I waited patiently so that I could pick up my signed copy from Nancy Kilpatrick, the editor of the anthology, at FanExpo2011. It took me a while to get to it, tho I jumped it to the top of my to-be-read pile - I'm a slow reader. I wasn't a slow reader when I got my hands on it. I devoured it as quickly as I could! Each vampire story in this anthology is inventive and highly imaginative, unlike so many other vampire stories
Whatever is ahead for humanity, how will vampires react? Will they continue to suck our blood, or will we learn to work together? This anthology attempts to give the answer. In present-day Mexico, a street kid meets a female vampire and gives her some of his blood. She is on the run, because her kind is being hunted by the Mexican government, drug gangs and nearly everyone else. The night before liftoff, a male astronaut has a romantic encounter that ends with him being bitten by a vampire. What
Otherworld Stories 10.1, The ListThis is a Zoe the Vampire (from Toronto) short that is cleverly ironical ;)
Extremely short story in which Zoe and the young ”vampire hunter” she met previously have become friends. They investigate a professor who claims to have a list of all the vampires in Zoe's territory. It was VERY short but I love Zoe so I liked it.
"The List" by Kelley Armstrong is a part of her Otherworld series. This stort story is narratored by Zoe. A newspaper releases a list with the names of 24 vampires living in Toronto.
I only read the Kelley Armstrong story. The List (WotO 10.1) by Kelley ArmstrongZoe Takano, Toronto's only vampire, is not on "The List" and she decides to go to a lecture of the guy who made The List. 4 stars
Loved this short story
The List by Kelley Armstrong: The List picks up 1 year after the events from the first Evolve anthology, where Eve and her new protege, Brittany the vampire slayer meet. In this short, Eve sees a list of vampires living in Toronto and decides to take her protege to his visiting lecture. It was an okay short. Not very exciting with little character development.
Anthology of 22 short stories about possible futures of the undead. I got this for the Kelley Armstrong Otherworld story 10.1 The List, but scanned a few pages of the rest and read what interested me. Here’s what I came up with. The problem with a lot of anthology short stories is that then don’t explain enough at the beginning to let you get a grasp on what the story is so you get so frustrated trying to figure out the story you lose track of what’s going on and lose interest.Interesting that t...
The List by Kelley Armstrong 3/5
It goes perfect with what is happening right now.
