Haiti: Isla Panico

Haiti: Isla Panico

Daniel Aguilar
0/5 ( ratings)
Few tragedies have shaken the whole world as the recent earthquake that literally destroyed Haiti, already one of the poorest countries in the planet. To speak of Haiti, before January of 2010, was to think of something very singular: it was the second nation of the American continent to conquer its independence from a European power , by the hands of a group of slaves of African origin. Nevertheless, the country was always dominated by ferocious leaders and sanguinary dictators that impoverished it to the extent of transforming it in a place with an infrahuman level of life. In those circumstances comes one of the most potent earthquakes in the recent time, which ends up desolating it. The scarce infrastructure was turned into dust, crushing the lives of thousands of people. The substantial international help has been insufficient for a disaster of such a magnitude. The tragedy of Haiti is a tragedy of Humanity. Haiti, Island of Panic depicts, in an extraordinary way, an overwhelming catastrophe.
