This book changed my life. What 'having it all' really means.Hewlett tackles head on the sacrifices women still have to make to be both mothers and workers in a world where fathers take these roles for granted.
The premise of this book is not convincingly argued, partly I think because it's such an inflammatory topic that steps on so many toes. The chief value I derived from it was an understanding that childbearing in one's late thirties and older is by no means the sure thing we tend to think that it is. The author's encouragement of the reader to be intentional about things like career and family is thought-provoking.
Resolve highly recommends it.
