The Rainmaker

The Rainmaker

Rogé
0/5 ( ratings)
" Take your imagination to places it has never been as Clarence learns how rain is really made. "

Clarence wondered. He wondered if the wind could make him fly, if clouds tasted good, and if he ate one, would he float?

One day Clarence is so busy wondering, he nearly walks past the tap. The sign says "RAIN." It used to say "DRAIN," but the "D" has worn off. Clarence wonders...if he turns it, will it rain?

As the rain teems down, Clarence meets a marvelous man who claims that the tap belongs to him; in fact it's been in his family for generations. Seeing that Clarence is a natural rainmaker, the man asks him to look after the tap while he goes on holiday. He explains that you can make whatever kind of rain you like: cats and dogs, hats and frogs...though be careful when it comes down in buckets!

And with that the man departs, leaving Clarence in charge. Under a cloudless sky Clarence returns home, wondering what makes thunder growl...then, with a triumphant grin on his face, he conducts a magnificent lightning storm and finds out!

In this whimsical and amusing story Clarence's wonderful imagination and curiosity are justified through a chance encounter with a most engaging man. The bold, colorful pastel drawings complement the playfulness of this innovative tale.

Key Features a delightfully imaginative and fun story will appeal to a child's sense of wonder and marvel dynamic illustrations add zest and humor of their own
