Mother Hubbard's Cupboard: A Mother Goose Surprise Book

Mother Hubbard's Cupboard: A Mother Goose Surprise Book

Laura Rader
0/5 ( ratings)
PreSchool-K-Eleven familiar nursery rhymes, whimsically illustrated in soft yet rich and colorful tones, are turned into a game by a split-page format. A solid left-hand page, which has one or two lines of text placed above a small picture, faces a full-page painting that is divided horizontally, much like a Dutch door. As the top half of that page is turned, more text appears on the left, while a new picture is formed on the right. Then, as the bottom half of the page is turned, the end of the rhyme appears at lower left and a completed new image appears on the right. The preschool set will relish turning the tops and bottoms of the pages to make new pictures, bringing to life old favorites such as "Jack and Jill," "Pussycat, Pussycat," "Humpty Dumpty," "Little Miss Muffet," and others. Guessing what's underneath will add to the fun and reinforce the rhymes.
