New Religions and New Religiosity

New Religions and New Religiosity

Margit Warburg
4/5 ( ratings)
RENNER Studies on New Religions is an initiative supported by the Danish Research Council for the Humanities. The series was established to publish books on alternative spiritual movements from a wide range of perspectives. The books will appeal to an international readership of scholars, students, and professionals in the study of religion, theology, the arts, and the social sciences. It is hoped that this series will provide a proper context for scientific exchange between these often competing disciplines. There have been periods in time, perhaps due to social changes or political or cultural upheaval, when people have been more inclined to turn to new religious ideas. Focusing on the situation in Europe, an international group of scholars present in this volume their studies on diverse topics ranging from Buddhism in Poland to differences in legal systems regarding the rights of minority religions. The volume will appeal to an international readership of scholars, students and professionals in the study of religion, theology, the arts and social sciences and anyone else who is interested in this fascinating and controversial subject.
