A manga that is a silly and rollicking pirate story that reminds you of every (boy) adventure story you liked as a kid. Over the top, funny, inventive. One of the most beloved and best selling and longest running manga series of all time. The reasons for One Piece's enduring popularity are on display from the start: bold and goofy characters, frenetic energy, simple and earnest character motivations, and more. I found it a little exhausting, but it grew on me over the course of the full volume, which tells a substantial amount of story.
