Michele Brittany is an independent popular culture scholar residing in Southern California and is the editor of James Bond and Popular Culture: Essays on the Influence of the Fictional Superspy and Horror in Space: Critical Essays on a Film Genre. The latter has been nominated for a Bram Stoker Award for Nonfiction.

Michele actively supports several popular culture organizations in a variety of capacities that include serving as the Book Review Editor the Journal of Graphic Novels and Comics and is the North American New Correspondent for Comics Forum. She serves as Co-chair of the Ann Radcliffe Academic Conference. In addition, she is the Editorials Manager for Fanbase Press, a Los Angeles-based independent publisher. She is an active member with the Horror Writers Association and the National Coalition of Independent Scholars.
