Margaret Tolland

Margaret Tolland was born in Eltham, Taranaki, and knew from a very young age that she wanted to be an artist and art educator. She attended art school in Dunedin at Otago Polytechnic and after her OE trained to be a teacher.
Margaret found the opportunity to illustrate her first children’s book, Fantail's Quilt by Gay Hay, very satisfying. She currently lives in Titahi Bay, Porirua, where she is Education Coordinator at Pataka Museum of Arts and Cultures.
