James Maxwell is the internationally best selling author of eleven fantasy and science fiction novels including Enchantress, Golden Age, and A Girl From Nowhere. He is known for the creation of vivid worlds and stories with epic, interwoven plot lines following themes of adventure and romance.

His books have sold over a million copies, with a wide readership in North America, the United Kingdom, and Australia. His imaginative novels also have strong support in places as diverse as South Africa, Japan, India, and Brazil, and readers ranging from teenagers through to octogenarians.

James grew up in the Bay of Islands, New Zealand, a region famed for its natural beauty. He was educated in Brisbane, Australia, and then relocated to London, where he established his writing career with the publication of Enchantress in 2012. He has been writing full time since his early thirties, and previously worked as a software developer.

James divides his time between London and Australia's Sunshine Coast, where he lives with his wife and daughter.
