Born and raised in Ankara, Turkey. Received his BA from Ankara University in Divinity , his MA from Stony Brook University in Philosophy and the Arts . He was the co-editor of Müfredat Book Review Magazine, and translated Spencer Holst to Turkish. Interested in philosophical hermeneutics, phenomenology, medieval and contemporary Islamic thought, postmodernity and postmodern literature. Currently, he pursues PhD in Philosophy at Stony Brook University with a dissertation dealing with the question of our bodily engagements with the text in the act of reading. He is a contributor of postmodern theory to several Turkish magazines and lives in Long Island, New York.
