Born: February 26 1963

Synnøve Eriksen was born on February 27th, 1963 in Herøy Sunnmøre. She grew up in Herøy, but she also lived in Vestbygd, Nordland, before, at 16, she moved to Oslo with her family. She currently lives there, near Østmark.

Synnøve studied literature at Oslo University. Her literary debut came in 2002 in form of the Bergfoss series, which sold 1.2 million copies. Bergfoss series has been re-published in September 2011 with new covers and slightly modified text.

In 2007, a historic saga Dora’s daughter has been published, and once that ended, the Nordlys series. Østenfor Sol is her fourth series, followed by Seventh Sense. She now writes about charming Strawberry Ladies.

Synnøve loves the outdoors, cats and working in her garden. She’s also involved in environmental protection work as well as animal rights advocacy.
