Karin Rytter is a Scandinavian printmaker, illustrator and mom of identical triplet toddlers. Her work is characterized by a combination of stylistic realism infused with elements of storytelling, and on occasion a dash of the absurd. She is equally at home with a variety of classical artistic techniques and media, including oil painting, gouache, watercolour, nib and inkwork, and intaglio printmaking. Lately however, her main artistic focus has been linocut printmaking – a form of relief printing that not only has a striking graphic expression, but is particularly well-suited to a life with small kids, and plenty of them.

Karin has three years of formal training in fine arts, an education she pursued before studying Art History and Philosophy at Copenhagen University. She now seeks to integrate both strands of education into her worklife, working equally as an artist, a freelance illustrator and as a teacher and writer.
