Edna May Rawson, a high school vocal music teacher, and her sister, Dorothy, in social services, graduated from Keuka College and earned master's degrees from Columbia University. When America entered World War II, they responded to the "call to service." After Japan surrendered, they returned to the historical Cobblestone Villa, an old family home in Holland Patent, New York. Upon retirement from the work they loved, they divided their time between extensive travel and community service until Dorothy's death in 1987. Edna May wrote A Crystal Goblet and the Dragon in 2001 and is working on a voluminous book covering every facet of vocal music teaching from grade 1 through 12 -- what needs to be done and how to achieve it.
