Born in Bangladesh, Abdullah Ibn Mahmud passed his childhood in Dubai, the UAE, the tourists' heaven. Returning to his home country, he passed his intermediate from Science department in 2011 from Notre Dame College, Dhaka. After that, he started his B.Sc. in the top-most engineering university of the country, BUET in Electrical & Electronic Engineering . After obtaining B.Sc., he went on to pursue MBA in 2017 and finished the degree from the highest academic institution in the business line, IBA of Dhaka University.

He started his writing career during his undergrad life and earned huge popularity through his historical writings published in the Bangla version of the popular analyst platform of South Asia, Roar Global. His writings on Roar Bangla have accumulated over 3.6 million readers in the last two years alone.

Abdullah loves to read and impart knowledge to those who like easy-reads. He is one of the pioneers of the country who popularized the reading of non-fiction or history-based contents. His favorite topics include- myths, theological history, tech, and he totally adores Dan Brown & J. K. Rowling, having grown up reading their fictions, but making a career of non-fiction, mostly. His published works now total up to 6, with quite a few in the pipeline, including approved translation works.

শৈশবের গোড়ার ছয়টি বছর কেটেছে আরব আমিরাতের দুবাইতে। ২০১১ সালে ঢাকার নটরডেম কলেজ থেকে বিজ্ঞান বিভাগে পাশ করে আন্ডারগ্র্যাড শুরু করেন বাংলাদেশ প্রকৌশল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের তড়িৎকৌশল বিভাগে। ২০১৭ সালে বুয়েট থেকে বেরিয়ে ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের আইবিএ-তে এমবিএ সম্পন্ন করেন।

ভার্চুয়াল জগতে লেখালেখির সূচনা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় জীবনে ঢোকার পর থেকে। বুয়েটে শেষ বর্ষে থাকাকালীন লেখা শুরু করেন রোর বাংলা প্ল্যাটফর্মে, যেখানে জনপ্রিয়তা পায় তার শতাধিক ফিচার, তার লেখাগুলো পঠিত হয় সাম্প্রতিক সময়েই প্রায় ৩৬ লক্ষ বার। ভালোবাসেন নতুন কিছু জানতে এবং জানাতে; প্রযুক্তি আর ফিকশন ছাড়াও পছন্দের বিষয়- বৈশ্বিক ইতিহাস, মিথ এবং তুলনামূলক ধর্মতত্ত্ব।
