Karen Murray lives near Thirsk in the beautiful county of North Yorkshire. She began her career as a nurse in the 1970's with an ambition to see the world, but she only got as far as Germany!
After a variety of jobs in social care, Karen now works with young people and adults with a learning disability and the organisations that support them. This book was written after she spent a frustrating search for a novel written for and about adults with a learning disability. When she realised there were none, the characters started to develop and took over the writing of this first novel in the Magnolia Street series.
