Debra was born into a close-knit, loving family, and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. She met her husband, Howard, while attending the University of Cincinnati. Relishing a traditional marriage, she loved being a stay-at-home mom to their two children, Jill and David. She spent her free time volunteering for numerous organizations.

After watching the movie Resurrection, in which Ellen Burstyn brilliantly played the role of a hands-on healer, she became fascinated with the subject. So she began healing friends and family by willing warmth and energy into her fingers. Sometimes it even worked! But that method, along with strong doctor-prescribed pain killers, failed when she needed it the most—to ease their daughter’s misery during a terrible illness in 2009. After Jill recovered, Debra was desperate to find a technique that she could count on so she’d never have to feel so helpless or hopeless again. Her search ended when she discovered Bio-Touch.

In 2010, she proudly became a Certified Practitioner of Bio-Touch and joined the other volunteers as a staff member at the Bio-Touch Center in Tucson, Arizona. There, she has given hundreds of Bio-Touch sessions on a donations-only basis. She also sits on the Board of Directors of the International Foundation of Bio-Magnetics , the educational arm for the Bio-Touch organization, and she writes web content, blogs, newsletters, and articles for IFBM.

In addition to writing, she enjoys reading, baking, spending time with her family, and traveling with Howard.
