Nancy Snidman received her PhD in Learning from the University of California, Los Angeles. After completing a postdoctoral fellowship from the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation in the Psychology Department at Harvard University she became Research Director for the Infant Study at Harvard where she conducted research for over two decades specializing in the psychophysiological correlates of infant temperament. She is author with Jerome Kagan of The Long Shadow of Temperament which traces their 25 years of longitudinal studies of behaviorally inhibited and uninhibited children. She was also Director of EEG Research for TRANSCEND at Massachusetts General Hospital.
